TILE CARE & MAINTENANCE

With the right care, your tile floors can last a lifetime. Learn more with our guide.

Routine Tile Care

You will find maintaining your tile floors is easy once you establish a routine. Be sure to sweep your floors frequently, how often will depend on the amount of foot traffic your rooms receive. You can also dry mop, damp mop, or wet mop your tile floors. Regular cleaning removes abrasive dirt and dust particles that can wear down your floors faster.

It is a good idea to use doormats at entryways and remove your shoes when you enter your home to reduce the amount of dirt tracked onto your floors.

Tile Spills and Stains

No matter how careful you are, spills will happen. Fortunately, cleaning tile floors is easy.

When you spill a solid, simply sweep it or wipe it up. When you spill a liquid, use a clean cloth to wipe up the spill. You can use a damp cloth to remove any residue. As long as you address the spill quickly, your tile floors should not stain or be damaged.

However, if you have a spill that begins to stain, consult your manufacturer's recommendations for removing the stain.
